Medical
Considerations
by Joel Reiter, M.D., Neurologist
This
training is designed for people who have excluded more serious
medical causes of headaches. If your problem has started recently,
or you have never sought medical attention for your headaches
visit your doctor before starting this training. If you experience
early morning headaches on awakening, fever with headaches
or neurological symptoms such as loss of vision, numbness or weakness
of part of your body, severe dizziness or loss of consciousness
consult your doctor to exclude more serious medical conditions
associated with your headache.
Migraine headaches can sometimes be helped by medication,
especially if the headaches occur less than 1-2 times per
month and come on quickly and stop
within a day. If migraine headaches are more frequent they are usually associated
with significant muscle contraction which may be aggravated by over-the-counter
or prescribed medications. The Headache
Relief Training can help you with these headaches.
If you take analgesic medications (Tylenol, aspirin, ibuprofen,
Aleve, codeine, Vicodin etc.) most days for headaches, you
are suffering from medication withdrawal
headaches. This course can help you deal with these headaches differently.
Remember
these are your headaches and only you have the ability to learn
the techniques that will help you deal with your headaches
more effectively! |
